Was powered by Mercedes' M273 KE55 engine, which was 383hp 5.5L V8. From the 2011 model year, Mercedes used their M278 DE46 engine, which was a 402hp twin-turbocharged 4.7L V8. Both engines were paired to a 7 speed automatic transmission that sent drive to the rear wheels. Production of the C207 Mercedes-Benz E500 ended in 2011.
