The Mercedes-Benz Nürburg is a series of luxury cars first introduced in 1928, also known by their chassis designation W08. Two main variants were offered on the W08 chassis: the Nürburg 460 and the Nürburg 500. Both cars were offered with straight eight engines in different displacements. A variety of body styles were also offered, including the notable roadster and cabriolet 'A.' In 1932, Mercedes changed the model name of the W08, dropping Nürburg. As the 460 also ended production in 1932, the sole car still in production, the Nürburg 500 was now known as the Type 500 (Typ in German). Production of the W08 ended in 1939, with 3,824 examples built.
