Mercury Montego - 2nd Gen (1972 to 1976)

The second generation of Mercury Montego was introduced for the 1972 model year. The second generation Montego was offered as a sedan, coupe, and station wagon, and was fitted with an inline six, as well as various V8 engine options. The second generation featured the notable Montego GT, as well as the top MX trim level. Production of the second generation Montego ended in 1976. Mercury would resurect the Montego name in 2004 for the Third Generation Montego.
