Mercury Monterey - 6th Gen (1965 to 1968)

The sixth generation Mercury Monterey was introduced for the 1965 model year. The sixth generation of Monterey featured new, squarer styling and was offered as a sedan, coupe, or convertible. Engine options included 6.4L, 6.7L, 7.0L (427 cu in), and 7.0L (428 cu in) V8 units. Outside of Standard or base variants, the most notable offering was the S-55. The sixth generation Monterey saw a styling facelift for 1967, and production lasted until 1968, when the Seventh Generation Mercury Monterey was introduced.
