The MG Metro 6R4 was a highly-modified rally version of the brand's staid Metro subcompact hatchback. A three-liter, four valve, twincam V6 was installed in the rear of the car - behind the front seats - and four-wheel drive was fitted to best compete against the wild Group B rally cars of the time. While street-legal models were offered with around 250hp, those built primarily for motorsport were tuned up to upwards of 410hp. The models were developed by Williams, the Formula 1 specialists.
