The Mark I Mini Cooper S is truly one of the most special cars in the motoring world. Introduced in 1963, the Cooper S was the high performance variant for the Mk I Mini. The Cooper S was the most powerful and capable Mini offered at the time, being built with a range of 1071cc, 970cc, and 1275cc inline four engines over the course of production. These legendary cars served as the basis for a long period of competitive rallying and touring car successes, due to the combination of lightweight construction and agility. Production of the Mk I Cooper S lasted until 1967, when it was replaced by the Mk II Mini Cooper S.
