The Eight was introduced by Moon in 1928 as a luxury and performance evolution of the Moon Six. Powered by inline eight engines, these cars primarily used Lycoming-built engines, although some early models may have also been equipped with Continental engines. These cars were available in multiple body styles such as sedan, coupe, roadster and touring. They all featured rear-wheel drive and a 3-speed manual transmission. Versions included the 8-75 with a 3.94L engine, and the 8-80 with a 5.57L. Despite their quality, the financial collapse of the late 1920s and a series of failed restructurings led to the company's final closure in 1930.
