Moon Six (1916 to 1929)

The Six was introduced by Moon in 1916 as a series of automobiles powered by inline six engines. These cars were offered in a variety of body styles such as sedan, touring, roadster, coupe and limousine. All versions featured rear-wheel drive and 3-speed manual transmission. Variants included the 6-40 displacing 4.97L, with power increasing in later versions such as the 6-45, 6-50, 6-58, and 6-60, which incorporated larger displacement engines such as the 5.42L. Moon Six models were appreciated for their smooth ride and reliability, competing with makes such as Hudson, Nash and Auburn. Although eventually eclipsed by the Moon Eight, the Six cemented the brand's reputation for over a decade and was produced until 1929.
