The second generation of Morgan 4/4 was introduced in 1955. Known as the Series II, the second generation featured almost identical styling as its predecessor, but was nearly an all new car underneath. Most notably, a new 1.2L Ford inline four engine was installed, and was available with a single or double carburetor. Production of the Series II 4/4 lasted until 1960, with 386 examples built. The Series II was replaced by the Morgan 4/4 Series III.
