The Morgan Motor Company, better known as Morgan, is a British automotive manufacturer founded in 1910. Morgan began life building front engined three wheeler cars, with two wheels in the front and one in the rear. After these early three wheelers, which included the <a href="https://www.classic.com/m/morgan/v-twin-three-wheeler/">V-Twin Three Wheeler</a> and <a href="https://www.classic.com/m/morgan/f-series-three-wheeler/">F-Series Three Wheeler</a>, Morgan began building four wheel roadsters with models such as the <a href="https://www.classic.com/m/morgan/44/">4/4</a> and the <a href="https://www.classic.com/m/morgan/plus-4/">+4</a>, before later models like the <a href="https://www.classic.com/m/morgan/plus-8/">Plus 8</a> and <a href="https://www.classic.com/m/morgan/aero-8/">Aero 8</a> only further established the company as a builder of retro-inspired, classically designed sporty roadsters.

The Morgan Plus 4 Plus was a series of cars introduced in 1964. Also known as the +4+, the Plus 4 Plus was offered as a two door coupe, and featured more modern styling than other Morgans. These cars were mechanically based on the <a href="https://www.classic.com/m/morgan/plus-4/">Morgan +4</a>, sharing many components including the suspension. The Plus 4 Plus was powered by a 110hp 2138cc inline four engine that was mated to a four speed manual transmission. The Morgan Plus 4 Plus was not a successful model, with only 26 examples built before the end of production.

The Morgan 4/4 was a series of sports cars that were introduced in 1936. The 4/4 was named for the model&#39;s four cylinders and four wheels (as previous Morgans had been three wheelers), and was largely offered as a roadster during its lifespan, although a drophead coupe was built during the model&#39;s early years. Except for a few breaks, the 4/4 was in continuous production for over 80 years until it was discontinued in 2019. The Morgan Plus 8 was a series of sports cars introduced in 1968. The Plus 8, also referred to as the +8, was based on the <a href="https://www.classic.com/m/morgan/plus-4/">Morgan +4</a>, but was powered by a Rover-sourced V8 engine. This model was offered as an open top roadster with drive going to the rear wheels through manual or automatic transmissions. Morgan built the Plus 8 in two main generations, the 1st, introduced in 1968 and running until 2004, was powered by a Rover&#39;s V8 engine (3.5L, 3.9L, and 4.6L units). The second generation, which ran from 2012 until 2018, was largely similar to the original, but was fitted with a BMW-sourced 4.8L V8 engine. Production of the Morgan Plus 8 ended in 2018.

Morgan Aero 8

The Morgan Aero 8 was a series of sports cars introduced in 2000. The Aero 8 was Morgan&#39;s first all new offering since the <a href="https://www.classic.com/m/morgan/plus-4-plus/">Morgan Plus 4 Plus</a>, and was the first Morgan to feature an aluminium chassis. Four body styles were offered over production, including coupe, speedster, targa-top, and convertible.
