Nash Metropolitan - Series I & II (1954 to 1955)

The Nash Metropolitan was introduced for the 1954 model year. The Metropolitan was initially planned for a 10,000 car run, with the capacity to extend should sales merit. These first cars were known as the Series I. The Series II followed immediately after, largely the same as the Series I except for a new series of 1.2L inline four engine, and a different transmission. Series I & II cars are very similar, often requiring inspection of the VIN for proper identification. Production of the Series I & II Metropolitan ended in 1955, with the introduction of the Nash Metropolitan Series III.
