Nissan Maxima - G910 - 1st Gen (1981 to 1984)

The first generation of Nissan Maxima, also known as the G910, was introduced in 1981. It was a four-door car offered in a sedan or station wagon body style, which marked the brand's transition for more luxurious models geared towards the North American market. It was equipped with a 2.4L inline six engine (L24E) and later a 2.8L (L28E) with electronic fuel injection. It offered 5-speed manual or 3- or 4-speed automatic transmissions, and had rear-wheel drive, a feature that differentiated it from later generations. this car represented the transition from Datsun to Nissan and positioned the Maxima as the brand's flagship sedan, combining Japanese reliability with the comfort sought by the American consumer.
