Nissan Maxima - A32 - 4th Gen (1995 to 1999)

The fourth generation of Nissan Maxima, also known as the A34, was introduced in 1995. It continued with the front-wheel drive configuration and was offered exclusively as a four-door sedan, featuring a more aerodynamic and modern design that marked a leap in refinement and style. It was powered by the renowned 3L V6 engine (VQ30DE), part of Nissan's new VQ family known for its smoothness and reliability, and repeatedly named to Ward's "10 Best Engines" list. Transmission options included a 5-speed manual in performance oriented SE trims and a 4-speed automatic in more comfort oriented trims. This generation outstanded at offering an excellent balance of sporty performance and comfort, cementing the Maxima as a serious alternative to more expensive sedans from premium brands. The Nissan Maxima A32 was produced until 1999, before it was replaced by the A33B.
