The Y60-series Nissan Patrol remained visually similar to the preceding 160 series. However, significant changes came underneath, as the suspension was changed to a coil-spring (versus leaf spring) setup allowing for both better comfort and off-road performance. All models had inline six-cylinder engines, in both diesel and gasoline versions.
