Since its inception in the 1950s, the Nissan Patrol has garnered an excellent reputation worldwide. The sixth generation of the Nissan Patrol, known as the Y62, was offered around the world, and was reintroduced to the US market under the names Infiniti QX56, QX80, and Nissan Armada. In 2017 the Y62 full-sized 4x4 SUV came in three engine configurations; a V6 and two 5.6 liters V8s. One of which produces 400 hp. The five-speed automatic transmission was replaced with a seven-speed transmission in 2017, and a base model 6-speed manual transmission was also offered. Nissan has developed special variants of the Y62 in select regions, such as the NISMO, Patrol Desert Edition, and even the Patrol Black Special Edition, limited to 200 units.
