Available transmissions included 4 and 5-speed manuals, as well as a 3-speed automatic with power sent to the front wheels. It was a very popular model especially in Latin America, where it was also known as the Nissan Tsuru. The second generation B12 Nissan Sentra was produced until 1992, it was replaced by the B13.
