Packard Six - 2nd Gen (1937 to 1939)

The second generation of Packard Six was introduced for the 1937 model year. The second generation Six was unveiled after an eight year hiatus for the model, and was offered in a range of open and closed body styles. This first year of the second generation Six was offered on a 115 inch platform for 1937, and is commonly known as the 115. The updated Six was initially powered by a 3.8L inline six engine, the model saw a large 4.0L unit fitted starting in 1938. Production of the second generation Six lasted until 1939, the Packard Six name would not see use again until 1942, for the short lived Third Generation Packard Six.
