Peugeot 205 GTI (1984 to 1994)

In April 1984, Peugeot released the 205 GTI, which was a sport variant of the Peugeot 205. These sporty hatchbacks became very popular, and were originally built with a 1.6L engine before a 1.9L engine was also introduced. As one of the vehicles people think of when they think of a hot hatch, the 205 GTI is highly regarded among automotive enthusiasts, even spawning a convertible version known as the 205 CTI. Another notable variant was the high end Griffe. The Peugeot 205 GTI was in production until 1994.
