The Renault 402 was a series of large family cars introduced in 1935. The 402 featured a unique design that featured the front headlights placed behind the front grill. Over the course of production, the 402 was available in a wide range of open and closed body styles, including sedan, cabriolet, and coupe, as well as various coachbuilt offerings. Initially, the 402 was fitted with a 2.0 inline four, but starting in 1938, a 2.1L inline four was used. Peugeot continued production of the 402 until 1942.
