Piaggio Vespa 400 (1958 to 1961)

The Piaggio Vespa 400, also seen as the Vespa 400, was a series of microcars introduced for the 1958 model year. These cars were offered in a two door coupe body style that featured a roof with a retractable section giving an open air motoring experience. The Vespa 400 was powered by a rear-mounted 393cc two cylinder engine that drove the rear wheels via a 3 speed manual transmission (4 speed manual for the top of the line 'GT' variant). Production of the Piaggio Vespa 400 lasted until 1961.
