Plymouth Superbird - 426ci Hemi (1970 to 1970)

The 1970 Plymouth Superbird, easily recognizable with its tall rear wing, was built for stock car racing and for the everyday consumer. It is a performance variant of the Road Runner and could be ordered with perhaps the most famous Mopar powerplant, the 426ci V8 Hemi or R code. With the Hemi installed, the Superbird was capable of 0-60mph in 5.5 seconds, producing 425hp through a four-speed manual or three-speed Torqueflite transmission to the rear wheels. Today the Hemi Superbird is one of the most sought-after cars from the muscle car era, with 135 examples built.
