Pontiac Fiero Custom (1984 to 1988)

The Fiero presented a highly desirable and versatile platform for customization. Its space-frame construction, removable body panels, mid-engine layout, and RWD setup—combined with affordable and easily accessible spare parts—made it the perfect base for any kind of modification. It also provided a modular engine bay which allowed for relatively easy engine swaps, ranging from the popular Buick 3800 supercharged V6 to Small Block V8s. These factors also made it the preferred platform for exotic Italian car replicas, such as Ferraris and Lamborghinis.
