The Porsche 356 SC Cabriolet was the top-of-the-line convertible 356 offered for the final generation Porsche 356 C. As the Coupe variant, it featured Porsche's most powerful four-cylinder pushrod engine produced so far. As with the Base Model or 1600C Cabriolet version, its successor was the Porsche 911 Soft-Window Targa, which was not a completely convertible car, but rather a semi-convertible variant of the new Porsche 911.
