The Porsche 911 Turbo 3.3 Coupe is the result of the first and most significant change to the 930. Starting in model year 1978, Porsche enlarged the engine bore by 2 mm (0.08 in) for a total displacement of 3,299 cc (3.3 L; 201.3 cu in) and added an air-to-air intercooler. Total production of the Turbo 3.3 Coupe, for all markets, was 15,836. Although available in a coupe body style, the 930 Slantnose version is treated separately. A cabriolet and Targa variant were introduced in 1987. The 930 Turbo Coupe was replaced by the 964 Porsche 911 Turbo 3.3 for model year 1990.
