Porsche 911 Speedster - 991.2 (2019 to 2019)

The Porsche 911 Speedster was a special, limited edition variant of the 991.2 Porsche 911. Originally unveiled in 2018 as a concept car, the Speedster entered production in 2019. Based on the 991.2 GT3, the Speedster was an open top sports car featuring a folding cloth top and a distinctive double bubble roof cover. Power was sourced from the same 4.0L flat six engine as featured in the GT3, but featuring a raft of improvements, including the fuel injection system, individual throttle bodies, and an upgraded exhaust. This naturally aspirated powerplant generated 503hp, which it sent through a 6 speed manual transmission to the rear wheels. In order to stop all this power, Porsche equipped the Speedster with carbon-ceramic brakes as standard. As well as a wide range of color options, a Heritage Design Package was offered that featured race inspired graphics. Production of the 991.2 Porsche 911 Speedster was limited to the 2019 model year, with a total of 1,948 examples built. The 1,948 production number is a reference to the first Porsche 356, which was introduced in 1948.
