Introduced in mid 1994 to replace the <a href="https://www.classic.com/m/porsche/911/964/">964 generation</a>, the Porsche 993&#39;s have become highly sought after given their characteristic as the last of the air cooled Porsches. As with most Porsche series cars, they are available in multiple variants including the naturally aspirated <a href="https://www.classic.com/m/porsche/911/993/carrera/">Carrera</a>, <a href="https://www.classic.com/m/porsche/911/993/carrera-s/">Carrera S</a>, <a href="https://www.classic.com/m/porsche/911/993/carrera-4/">Carrera 4</a>, and the&nbsp;<a href="https://www.classic.com/m/porsche/911/993/carrera-4s/">Carrera 4S</a>, along with several <a href="https://www.classic.com/m/porsche/911/993/turbo/">993 Turbo</a> versions as well. The 993 Carrera 4, sold between 1995 and 1998,&nbsp;uses the same powerplant as the standard <a href="https://www.classic.com/m/porsche/911/993/carrera/">993 Carrera</a>, but puts power down to all four wheels to help with all-weather traction. A &ldquo;Carrera 4&rdquo; badge on the tail, along with silver-painted brake calipers and clear front and side turn signals, help distinguish the all-wheel drive C4 from the C2 sibling. Approximately 4,700 <a href="https://www.classic.com/m/porsche/911/993/carrera-4/coupe/">coupes</a> and 2,500 <a href="https://www.classic.com/m/porsche/911/993/carrera-4/cabriolet/">cabriolets</a> were made.
