Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet - Tiptronic - 997.1 (2007 to 2008)

The Tipronic equipped, cabriolet version of the 997.1 Porsche 911 Turbo was introduced for the 2007 model year. These high performance sports cars were powered by a 473hp rear-mounted, twin-turbocharged 3.6L flat six engine that sent drive to all four wheels through a 5 speed Tiptronic (automatic) transmission. In order to control the power from the engine, the 997.1 Turbo featured Porsche Traction Management as well as Porsche Stability Management, making sure that less-skilled drivers would be able to enjoy the sporting potential of these cars. An optional Sport Chrono package was offered, which allowed for a temporary increase in boost from the turbos thus giving a temporary increase in torque. Production of the 997.1 Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet - Tiptronic ended in 2008.
