REO Four (1906 to 1911)

The REO Four was a family of four cylinder automobiles introduced in 1906 by the REO Motor Car Company. It included versions such as the Four-24, Four-30, and Four-35, whose names roughly indicated their horsepower. These models used an inline four engine, with displacements varying depending on the version, coupled to a multi speed manual transmission and rear-wheel drive. They were offered in various open body styles, primarily touring, roadster and runabout, aimed at both family use and a clientele seeking higher performance than that offered by the two cylinder models. A notable aspect of the REO Four is that it marked the technical consolidation of the brand, introducing more powerful and refined engines that positioned REO as a serious manufacturer. The REO Four was produced until 1911.
