The company became one of the largest truck-only manufacturers in America during the 1910s, producing models such as the Model A, Model C, Model F, Model 10, Model 19, 60, 65, and 76-6. Republic gained major recognition for building thousands of Liberty Trucks during World War I and became known for durable heavy-duty commercial vehicles used in freight, agriculture, and industry. After financial difficulties in the 1920s, the company merged with American LaFrance in 1929 to form LaFrance-Republic.
