The Saab 900 Carlsson was a limited edition variant of the Classic Generation Saab 900 that debuted for 1990. The Carlsson, which was based on the 900 Turbo, was named after famed former Saab rally driver Erik Carlsson. These sporty cars were only available in a two door coupe body style, and were powered by a 185hp turbocharged 2.0L inline four engine that sent drive to the front wheels through a 5 speed manual transmission. The 900 Carlsson was only available in red, white, or black colors, and was fitted with a distinctive AirFlow body kit. Production of the Saab 900 Carlsson lasted until 1992, with just 600 examples built.
