The Saab 900 Commemorative Edition (CE) was a limited edition variant of the Classic Generation Saab 900 that was offered for the North American market between 1993 and 1994. For the 1993 model year, the Commemorative Edition was built in a two door liftback coupe body style, whereas for 1994, they were all two door convertibles. These cars were powered by a 185hp turbocharged 2.0L inline four that sent drive to the front wheels through a 5 speed manual transmission. Both the 1993 and 1994 Commemorative Edition were painted in black with a tan interior, and featured nearly the same equipment, with the exception of the suspension. The 1993 CE featured the SPG's lowered suspension, while the 1994 CE featured standard suspension. By the end of production, 329 examples of the 1993 Commemorative Editions were built (including 15 for Canada) and a total of 1,000 examples of the 1994 Commemorative Edition were produced (500 for USA, 500 for Canada).
