The Simca 1000 is a small, rear-engined vehicle manufactured by the French automaker Simca from 1961 to 1978 and made available as a four-door saloon and a two-door coupé. The two-door Coupé was manufactured between 1962 and 1971. Despite sharing its chassis and mechanical elements with the four-door saloon, the Coupé was able to offer superior road handling.
