Simca Vedette (1954 to 1961)

The Vedette was introduced by Simca in 1954. This model was one of the brand's most prominent, designed to compete in the large, sophisticated sedan segment. The Vedette was equipped with a 2.4L V8 engine, providing a power output of around 90hp. Transmission was either a 3 or 4-speed manual, with rear-wheel drive. The Simca Vedette body was primarily available as a 4-door sedan, but also included coupe and estate variants. Throughout its production, the Vedette went through several versions, such as the Vedette Chambord and the Vedette Régence, with varying levels of luxury and equipment. This model was very popular in French and international markets, offering a balance of comfort, power, and elegant design, making it a symbol of accessible luxury for its time. The Simca Vedette was produced until 1961.
