The Suzuki Wagon R is a series of compact hatchbacks that were introduced for the 1994 model year. The Wagon R is offered in a "tall" hatchback body style that gives additional interior space, while allowing the car to maintain a compact on road profile. Over the course of production, the Wagon R (R meaning Revolution and Relaxation) has been built in six generations, always featuring a front mounted inline three engine. These engines have been offered in naturally aspirated or turbocharged versions, and have been paired to manual, automatic, or CVT transmissions. Both rear wheel drive and all wheel drive configurations have also been offered.
