Toyota Crown - S130 - 8th Gen (1987 to 1999)

The S130 was introduced in 1987 as the eighth generation of the Toyota Crown. It was available in several body styles such as: 4-door sedan, coupe and wagon. It mantained its rear-wheel drive configuration, although it was rarely offered in all-wheel drive. The S130 had the option of a 5-speed manual transmission, as well as 4-speed automatic. Powertrain options included inline six engines with different displacements: 2.0L, 2.5L and 3.0L. Diesel options were also available. It stood out for its high level of equipment, with Royal Saloon and Majesta versions that offered air suspension, progressive power steering, automatic climate control, CRT screen navigation and cruise control. The S130 was produced until 1991 (wagons and commercial vehicles until 1999), and it was replaced by the S140 ninth generation Toyota Crown.
