Toyota Hilux Surf - 2nd Gen (1990 to 1995)

The Hilux Surf N120/N130 was introduced by Toyota in 1990 as the models 2nd Gen. It evolved into a more refined and functional SUV, adopting a fully enclosed body style with 3 or 5 doors, eliminating the removable roof of the previous generation. It offered gasoline engines such as the 2.4L 22R-E, the 2.7L 3RZ-FE and the 3.0L V6 3VZ-E, as well as diesel options such as the 2.4L, 2L turbodiesel, 2.8L and 3L, all with 4 or 6 cylinders. Transmissions were available in 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic, with rear-wheel drive or selectable all-wheel drive. This generation introduced more equipped versions such as the SSR-X and SSR-G, as well as variants with wide bodies and greater interior equipment, consolidating the Surf as a versatile SUV for both urban and off-road use. The Hilux Surf N120/N130 was produced until 1995 and was replaced by the 3rd Gen N180 Hilux Surf.
