Toyota Bandeirante (1959 to 2001)

Produced by Toyota in Brazil, the Bandeirante is the equivalent of the 40 Series, Toyota Land Cruiser in that country. It was available in multiple body styles that closely resemble the FJ40 and FJ45. However, engine and drivetrain configurations were quite different, using Mercedes-Benz sourced engines through most of the range. Production of the Bandeirante continued well past 1984, when Toyota in Japan had discontinued production of the 40 series. In November 2001, Toyota do Brasil Ltda. discontinued production of the Bandeirante.
