The 3rd generation Toyota Supra base model was powered by, in most applications, the naturally aspirated 3.0-liter 7M-GE dual overhead cam inline six producing 200 horsepower. In Japan, a smaller 2.0-liter six was available to avoid road taxes on larger-displacement engines. Both five-speed manual and four-speed automatic transmissions were available between 1986 and 1991. It was replaced by the A80 Toyota Supra.
