The 1st Generation of the Triumph Dolomite was manufactured between 1934 and 1940 by Triumph Motor Company. The first car was called the Straight Eight, which was never mass produced but in 1936 the Triumph Motor Company started manufacturing a 2 door coupe and 4 door Saloon that were fitted with engines that ranged from 1.5L I4 to 2.0L I6 that sent the power to the rear wheels using a 4 speed manual gearbox. Production of the 1st Gen Dolomite ended in 1940 after the plant closed due to WW2. The Dolomite name would resurface in 1972 when Triumph introduced the 2nd Gen Dolomite.
