Triumph TR3’s were no strangers to the racing scene back in their day, having taken part in events such as Monte Carlo, Sebring, Tour de France, amongst others. TR3’s were driven both by pro-factory drivers and enthusiast more focused in club racing. The most important appearance for TR3’s in competition were the three cars prepared for the 1959 Le Mans 24H’s named the TR3S having fiber-glass body shells, six inches longer and the “Sabrina” 2.0L engines.
