Triumph TR7 - Race Cars (1975 to 1983)

It was very common to see Triumph TR7’s on the rallying scene in the late 1970’ since British Leyland was a front running team from 1976 to 1980. These cars initially used a 16-valve Triumph Dolomite Sprint engine that was later switched to the Rover V8. TR7 were very popular in rallying but were also found in circuit racing, having taken part in a few SCCA events. Popular names like Tony Pond and John Buffum were involved in the success of the model.
