The TVR Griffith 200, which was known as the Griffith Series 200 in the United States, was a series of lightweight sports cars that were introduced in 1964. The brainchild of Jack Griffith, this family of cars was created to be able to outperform the Shelby Cobra. These cars were built on a modified TVR Grantura chassis, the Griffith 200 was powered fitted with a Ford V8 engine that sent power to the rear wheels via a 4 speed manual transmission. Although the majority of cars were fitted with Ford's 289 (4.7L) V8 engine, a handful are known to feature a 260 (4.3L) V8. Produced until 1965, just 192 examples of the TVR Griffith 200 were built before the model was replaced by the TVR Griffith 400.
