Volvo 740 (1984 to 1992)

Volvo introduced the 740 for the 1984 model year. The 740 was an entry level version of the Volvo 760, and was the least expensive offering in the 700 Series. The 740 was available as a sedan or station wagon, and was fitted with a range of naturally aspirated or turbocharged inline four engines as well as diesel inline six options. The top of the range variant was the 740 Turbo. Production of the Volvo 740 ended in 1992.
