The Volvo S60 Base Model launched in 2000 during the model’s first generation, was part of Volvo's new generation of sports sedans and represented a significant departure from the company's previously boxy designs. Under the hood, the base S60 offered a range of inline five gasoline engines, varying by market and trim level.
