1934 Ford 3-Window Coupe Gibbons Body 383ci Stroker V8 Automatic Air Suspension /// This custom 1934 Ford 3-Window Coupe blends one of the most iconic body styles of the pre-war era with contemporary engineering, premium components, and meticulous craftsmanship throughout. Attributed to Jesse James of Austin Speed Shop, the coupe is finished in black over a custom black leather interior and powered by a Chevrolet 383ci stroker V8 backed by a 3-speed automatic transmission. The sleek Gibbons fiberglass body is complemented by a matching fiberglass hood and grille shell with steel louvered side panels, while one-off billet aluminum wheels created by Mike Curtis of Curtis Speed Equipment measure 18 in front and 19 in the rear and are wrapped in Excelsior tires. Under the hood, a Holley four-barrel carburetor feeds the 383 through a polished sheet-metal induction plenum with dual cone air filters, complemented by a polished aluminum radiator, chrome air conditioning compressor, and serpentine accessory drive. A boxed aftermarket chassis with tubular crossmembers incorporates a chrome-plated dropped solid front axle with front Air Ride suspension, QA1 adjustable rear coilovers, power steering, and four-wheel Wilwood power disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors, while a Ford 9 rear axle with 3.23 gearing and a limited-slip differential puts power to the pavement. Inside, the black leather interior features suicide doors, custom upholstered door panels, sculpted bucket seats with contrasting stitching, power windows, and a custom dashboard fitted with red-faced Classic Instruments gauges accented by red and white pinstriping. An overhead-mounted JVC AM/FM/CD receiver, modern speakers, a power antenna, black bound-edge carpeting, and modern air conditioning complete a cabin designed for comfortable cruising while preserving the unmistakable character of a traditional American hot rod.
