This 1940 Ford Deluxe coupe is powered by a 221ci flathead V8 mated to a three-speed manual transmission and is finished in blue over beige upholstery. Equipment includes body-color 16” steel wheels, hydraulic drum brakes, a dual exhaust, dual side mirrors, lap belts, rear opera seats, and an under-dash heater. This '40 Coupe was purchased by the seller in 2022 and is now offered with spare parts and a clean Texas title in the seller's name. The coupe bodywork wears an older repaint in blue and features dual chevron taillights, dual auxiliary taillights, and dual side mirrors. Worn and cracked paint, as well as pitting on the brightwork, are visible. Body-color 16” steel wheels wear hubcaps and trim rings and are mounted with 6.50-16 Firestone Deluxe Champion wide-whitewall tires. Braking is provided by four-wheel hydraulic drums, which were introduced for the 1939 model year. The cabin features a bench seat with a split backrest upholstered in beige and covered by an aftermarket seat cover. Interior appointments include woodgrain window trim, a glovebox with a clock in its door, an under-dash heater, lap belts, and an aftermarket cupholder console. Flip-down occasional seats are present behind the front bench. The steering wheel has a worn rim and sits ahead of a sweeping 100-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 13k miles, approximately 5k of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown. The 221ci flathead V8 was factory rated at 85 horsepower and 155 lb-ft of torque. The heater hoses have been clamped as the core leaks, and an oil change was last performed in May 2024. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed manual transmission. A dual exhaust system has been added.
