The third and final generation of Hudson Commodore was introduced in 1948. Hudson offered the third generation Commodore in coupe, convertible, or sedan body styles. The third generation Commodore was the first Hudson model to feature "step down" construction, which lowered the center of gravity and gave improved handling. A 3.3L inline six or 4.2L inline eight were available as engine options. Production of the Hudson Commodore ended in 1952.

Update: Hood has been opened (latch release cable is not functioning). Engine runs, but clutch quit working during test drive on 10/30/2025 (suspect cork in clutch area is bad).
New battery installed October 2025.
Front left brake is the only one currently working.
Two right side windows have cracks
Right rear door inside handle needs re-attached
Rear wheel well skirts are in trunk
