What’s special about this listing

***DRASTIC PRICE REDUCTION***

This sleek beauty, built in the '70s, sold in the ’80s, & located & repurchased by the '70s owner in 2019. She is one-of-a-kind, chopped, lowered, & shaved masterpiece!

1955 marked a major inflection point for Ford Motor Company. Across all passenger car lines, Ford revised the style of its cars both inside & out. On the exterior, new Fords sat lower, were slightly longer, & appeared flatter than previous generations of Fords. Also significant in the passenger car line was the introduction of the Fairlane, a top-of-the-line passenger car series replacing Crestline series. The name "Fairlane" came from Ford Family's esteemed "Fair Lane" estate. Interiors were also revamped in 1955 and 1956 Fords including new instrument panel styling that sat below the backlit speedometer was carried forward from previous year's models. The new Fairlane also featured new chrome-trimmed hooded "eyebrow" headlights, new convex grille with round driving lights, & tons of new elevated trim, including the iconic V-shaped side trim running entire length of the car at the belt line giving the '55 and ‘56 Fords a nice visual break. All these styles changes to 1955 Fords helped Ford sell more vehicles in '55 than previous year, especially its high-end model with '55 Fairlane outselling '54 Crestline by nearly 400,000 units.

Under the hood is a Thunderbird 429 V8 engine paired with an upgraded Edelbrock single 4-barrel carburetor. Exhaust exits the V8 via Magnaflow dual exhaust setup giving this 1956 Fairlane Victoria a nice throaty sound, along with custom Lake Pipes with open/close under-dash toggle. Another under-dash toggle switch operates an engine cooling fan, useful when idling in traffic for several minutes. A third under-dash toggle switch mounted to the left of steering wheel, operates fuel pump, making easy starting of a cold engine. Added to these switches is a hydraulic rear-end lift system operated by an under-dash gauge and switch. A battery kill switch has also been installed in the trunk.

Tires have been upgraded to wide whitewall radials, which maintain the classic look while improving the ride. A pair of chrome outside mirrors help to maneuver in and out of tight spaces. With color-matched fender skirts, this Ford has that classic ‘50s look. The sleek look of shaved door handles and trunk makes this uniquely lowered and chopped (5.5”) beauty with custom louvered hood a one-of-a-kind gem!

The upgraded Rack & Pinion Steering, front disk brakes with dual master cylinder, added Air Conditioning, and four-on-the-floor top loader transmission make this an amazing car that is as fun to drive as it is to show off.

The exterior has been refinished in an eye-catching two-tone paint scheme consisting of bright white over bright red, which completes the outstanding exterior look of the car. The interior is beautiful, too! The front and rear bench seats have been reupholstered in Red and White Vinyl with eye-catching red accent piping. The door panels maintain the red-and-white period look and match the overall stock look of the car. The dash is equipped with an upgraded instrument panel featuring a 120 MPH speedometer, tachometer, oil, temperature, voltage, and fuel gauges. An AM/FM radio, clock, and temperature controls are correctly mounted in the center of the dash as well.

Whether you're looking to buy your first classic car or adding to an existing collection, this 1956 Ford Fairlane Victoria will make a wonderful, strategic choice.
