1957 Nash Metropolitan

Completely restored to road worthy condition. (Previous to current ownership vehicle was part of an indoor car collection and was rarely driven.) Restoration included the following:
New tires
Replaced rubber hoses throughout
Repaired speedometer and fuel gauge
New luggage rack
New grille badge
Door seals replaced
Overhauled front and rear suspension. New shocks, seals, gaskets, and bushings.
Brake system overhaul. New brake shoes, brake hose, and wheel cylinders.
Replaced mechanical fuel pump with electric. New fuel tank float, needle and seat.

The car leaks very little for its age. I attribute this fact to the significant work that has been done.

The vehicle has also underwent a performance upgrade. The original Zenith downdraft carburetor was replaced with a HS2, as used on a Sprite or Midget. An MGA manifold was also added along with a K&N air filter. The result being a significant gain in performance.

The body and chrome is in extremely good condition. This vehicle shows very little rust. Please note the wear behind the hood. This scratch is most likely from a too tight fit between the body and hood.

In summary, this is a great, road worthy Nash Metropolitan.
