What’s special about this listing

Powered by a Tri-Power-equipped 370ci V8 engine and automatic transmission, the current owner has owned this beautiful 1958 Pontiac Bonneville Sport Coupe for 40+ years. The '58 Bonny was painstakingly frame-off restored by Hoyt with the help of the Pontiac Oakland car club.

The 370 cubic inch V8 engine has been rebuilt and only has approximately 3,000 miles since being completely rebuilt. The Tri-Power has three individual chrome air filter caps on the two barrel carburetors as opposed to the original massive air cleaner. Locating the original parts such as the carpeting, dash, instruments, etc. was crucial to restoring it to such a high standard. The years long restoration was completed around 1990 and the owner notes that the odometer has rolled over once.

At the request of Hoyt, the owner then showed this vehicle and it won its AACA class at the AACA show in Palm Springs. This '58 Bonneville has also been featured on the cover of five collector car magazines over the years.

The Bonneville is for sale in Solvang, CA and being represented by Robert Lewis.
